Remove unwanted paths from address-bar history.
Let’s check how we can remove the history from address bar
in windows explorer. Whenever open a path using
Explorer address bar, its automatically stored in the history,
anyone who uses the system can easily get the details from the address bar can see it by clicking on the address bar drop-down
arrow.
In order clear those
addresses from the address bar please follow the below procedures you can
follow these simple steps to remove unwanted items from Windows Explorer address
bar history:
1. Type regedit in RUN
dialog box and press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor.
2. Now go to following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths
You can see the url
names as name url1, url2, url3 and so
on. These respective url’s have the data of address bar history.
3. You can select and remove the url from
the list to remove the respective path from address bar history.
Eg. If you want to
remove the path “C:\ “ From address bar history, then delete the "url14"
String value.
4. Now you can check the address bar and
the deleted path will no longer appear
in the address bar.
